About Erica Thomas: Mother-Daughter Relationship Coach

Hi, I’m Erica Thomas—a therapist, certified mother-daughter coach, and guide for mothers and daughters who want to heal conflict, improve communication, and build a stronger relationship.

I help mothers of teen daughters, mothers and adult daughters, and families who feel stuck in conflict, distance, or painful patterns create a new way forward together.

I have also been honored to share my expertise on podcasts and other platforms focused on mother-daughter relationships, communication, and generational healing.

Why This Work Matters To Me?

This work is deeply personal. I have not only studied the mother-daughter relationship—I have lived it.

Through years of healing, reflection, boundaries, and honest conversations, my relationship with my own mother became more connected, loving, and real. It is not perfect, but it is rooted in trust, understanding, and mutual respect.

The greatest gift of that healing is that my daughter is growing up free from many of the emotional burdens that once moved through our family. She is creating her own story—one grounded in emotional safety, honesty, and connection.

That is the power of healing a mother-daughter relationship: it changes not only one relationship, but future generations.

The Story Behind Vita Nova

Vita Nova means “new life.”

I created Vita Nova because I believe that when mothers and daughters heal conflict, rebuild trust, and break generational patterns, they create a new future for themselves and for the women who come after them.

Like many women, my story includes both love and pain. My mother and grandmother each worked hard to break many of the unhealthy patterns that existed in our family. Because of their courage, I was able to continue that work and create something different.

I carry deep gratitude for the women who came before me. Their healing made mine possible. And now, it is my honor to help other mothers and daughters do the same.

How I Help Mothers & Daughters

Today, I work exclusively with mothers and daughters across Texas and around the world.

Through science-based therapeutic coaching, I help mothers and daughters:

  • Heal mother-daughter conflict
  • Improve communication
  • Rebuild trust after hurt or distance
  • Break unhealthy generational patterns
  • Create a stronger, more connected relationship

I work with mothers of teen daughters as well as mothers and adult daughters who are ready to do the brave work of healing together.

Why Vita Nova Is Different?

Vita Nova was created specifically for mothers and daughters. Unlike general coaching or therapy, this work focuses on the unique patterns, pain, love, and connection that exist in the mother-daughter relationship.

My approach combines more than 20 years of clinical experience with science-based therapeutic coaching, practical tools, and real conversations that help mothers and daughters create lasting change.

At Vita Nova, we do more than talk about the relationship. We work together to:

  • Understand the patterns keeping you stuck
  • Improve communication
  • Rebuild trust and emotional safety
  • Heal conflict without blame
  • Create a new legacy for the women who come after you

Are We A Good Fit?

Vita Nova may be a good fit if you are:

  • A mother and daughter who want a closer, healthier relationship
  • Tired of repeated conflict, distance, or communication problems
  • Ready to better understand one another instead of staying stuck in old patterns
  • Willing to have honest conversations and do the work together
  • Looking for guidance that is compassionate, practical, and grounded in real change

Vita Nova may not be the right fit if one or both people are not ready to participate in the process or are looking for a quick fix without deeper work.
